My Shoe Obsession

Even though it has been over 100 degrees here almost every day lately and all I want to wear is flip flops and shorts, I am already dreaming of fall and great shoes. QVC has a few that have caught my eye.

The first ones are the B.Makowsky Leather Snake Embossed Pumps $99.00. I know his shoe line is fairly new, but i do own 2 of his glove leather purses that I can not say enough great things about. The leather is so soft and even after being thrown on floors and and in the car for months they still look just as good as the day I got them. These shoes are gorgeous and come in black and white. I would love to wear them with jeans or with my black suit for work to ass the unexpected. For the last few years I have sworn by Sofft shoes for work. I walk a million miles a day and need something dressy but super comfortable and this brand of shoes have been my saviour. They have some new styles out that I am dying for. I know they can be a bit pricey, but let me tell you they are so worth it and hold up so well, and that means a lot coming from me. Considering I used to only get shoes to last a month or so before I had to throw them away.

The fist pair I love are the Raine Mary Jane Peep Toe $109.95. They come in black and my person fave Chianti. If only I could wear open toed to work these would have a place in my closet. I think I have a think for peep toes, probably because I can not wear them....isn't that how it always works....my next pick is the Rialto Peep Toes $109.95. They come in Taupe Grey, Black Suede and Plain Black.

I Die for Rachel Zoe

I think it is safe to say there is not a show on Bravo that I do not love, but The Rachel Zoe Project is one of my faves!! So of course I could not be happier that Rachel launched her first line on none other than QVC. I knew she was going to be on last night and all day today but had a crazy day at work so hit the hay early and missed her all day, but I did manage to DVR all of her shows she had today and was so excited to get home and watch them. I am now dreaming of so many items from her line, however so much of her stuff sold out I will have to settle for the wait list. Here are just a few of my faves from today.

The Today's Special Value was the Crystal Accent Wrapped Hinged Bracelet $69.76. It comes it white gold, rose gold and gold and let me just say I am dying to get it in the silver....that one has been wait listed for me!! The other item I am on wait list for is the Scoop Neck Crochet Sweater $101.58. I love this in the black and can so picture wearing it over all my summer tanks when it gets cool at night. I also found an amazing watch that I am now dreaming about, but lets be honest the last thing I need is another watch. I love this one though because it is so different and it looks like a cuff but opens up to a watch. It is the Covered Cabochon Goldtone Blossom Watch $59.12 and it comes in coral, black, turquoise and white. I never thought I would want a Caftan, but after seeing the Embroidered V-Neck Caftan $65.76 on the model I was instantly drawn to it. It comes in black, cream, purple and teal. She also has the match slip available to go under these. I don't think I am brave enough to ever wear it, but it looks so comfy and easy to wear. The next item I will be dreaming of is the Leather Large Rounded Tote with Braided Detail $179.12. It comes in antique white, camel and olive. I just bought a new white purse at Nine West when I was in Charleston otherwise this one would be on its way to me. I did love the Olive though when I saw it on the TV, but am not loving the color as much online.
The last item I wait listed is the 3/4 Sleeve Denim Jacket with 3 Button Closure $63.60. I love the color on this jacket and think it will be dressy enough I can wear it to work.

Pineapple Express

Last week I had family in town staying with me which is always fun. I love taking the time to make my guest bedroom extra special and make sure I have every ones favorite foods. I think my favorite part about having guests though is making breakfast for everyone. I love having a huge buffet set out with all sorts of different fruits and danish. I like to think back to the movie Pretty Woman when Richard Gere has the whole table filled with food for Julia Roberts. My guests should feel special I treat them better than Richard Gere treats his hooker..lol

So onto my all time favorite kitchen gadget that I love to use when my guests are in town..actually I use it at least once a week. It is the Stainless Steel Professional Pineapple Slicer $16.00.

I absolutely love this thing. It cuts perfect spiral sliced pineapple every time and hardly has any mess after you are done.

My new Motto

I have to admit as much as I love QVC I rarely order clothes from them. I love the jewelry, beauty and home and garden so much I have never paid much attention to the clothes. A few months ago though I was sitting around on a lazy evening and there was a one hour show in QVC for the Motto fashion line which is QVCs in house brand of contemporary fashion. There was so many pieces I wanted I had a hard time picking just a few to try.

The first top I got was the Motto Satin Trim V-neck Stretch Tank with Pleat Detail $26.50. I bought this tank in the Emerald Green and the Dark Gray to wear under my suits for work and I am absolutely in love with it. It is so soft and it washes up so easily. They have become my go to tanks for these hot summer days here in the South. I have been on the search for tanks that look dressy enough to wear to work, but are very cool to wear and are not to revealing if I take off my jacket. These tanks are definitely the answer. The next item I picked up was the Motto Cap Sleeve Pleat Front Long Knit Tunic$33.72. I am not normally a tunic person, but i loved the purple and this top just looked so comfy. I loved the color once I got it home in person, it is a very rich deep purple. I must say this has become favorite top to wear around town to run errands. So needless to say I am definitely a fan of Motto and will be picking up more pieces very soon.

Because you Tan Tan Tan

Let me just start this out by saying that to find the ultimate self tanner is kind of like finding a needle in a haystack. After many years of frying my skin in tanning booths I started my search for the perfect self tanner. I tried every one on the market any have always ended up orange and streaky. After giving up for a few years on my search I started again this year. I think I read every review before picking a few to try.

I have found my top 3 and let me just say that they are all totally different but I love them all for different reasons

The first is St Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse with Mit $36.50. I love the mousse formula, it is so easy to apply especially with the mitt. It has a minimal smell and a very natural look. It does however take a while to show the color. I put it on in the morning and the color started to show throughout the day. It takes a few applications to get a darker color, but it definitely does not wear off on your clothes.

My next favorite is the Bare Escentuals Faux Tan $22.00. I absolutely love the color this tanner gives me. The first time around it is a dark rich color. It is very easy to apply because the product is almost like a chocolate colored gel. I used the brush applicator to apply which made it so easy because you did not have worry about that weird color tanners always leave on your hands. The only downside is you have to be careful what you wear after you put it on because it does transfer and if I do not apply very carefully I have had a few streaks.

The last tanner I am going to recommend is my ultimate favorite. It works so well it almost seems to good to be true. It is the Kate Somererville 360 Tanning Towelettes $59.00. The best way to describe it is like a giant baby wipe. One towel will do your whole body which I did not believe until I tried it for myself. The whole process is so simple and only takes a few minutes which I love because it seems like there are never enough hours in the day. This is another product that does not show up right away. I generally put it on in the evenings before bed and wash it off in the morning. Of all the tanners this one has hardly any smell. It also takes a few applications to get to a deep shade.

I just want to add a side note to all of these. I make sure to exfoliate and always put lotion on my elbows, knees and around my ankles and toes before I apply to avoid the dark areas.

Easy Breezy

Today is a great day in QVC land.....the easy pay anniversary. I must say that whoever thought of it was one smart cookie. The fact they let you break up the payments over between 2-6 months interest free was genius. I know they have suckered me in a few times with the easy pay. It is how I ended up with the laptop I am typing this very blog on.

In honor of the 20 years of easy pay all items on QVC and QVC.com are on 5 easy payments for today...love it. I am sadly going to pass on picking up any of my big ticket items I have been dreaming of...mainly my B.Makowsky pewter large satchel. However that purse will be mine eventually.

Tik Tok

My love for watches has been a lifelong passion. I can remember as a kid wanting every Swatch watch that was made. I love watches becuase they generally always fit and I think a watch says so much about your personality and they can totally change an outfit. Some of my favorite watches are from none other than my favorite place QVC.

This Diamonique watch is one of my favorite everyday watches. I have had it for almost 4 years now and it still looks just as good as the day I got it. It is only $66.00 and has the look of one that costs so much more.

Gossip is QVCs in house brand of fashion watches and they are so affordable, but have all the latest fashions. One of my recent faves is the Gossip Oversized Pave Leather Strap Watch . I own it in the black and gold and I must say it is a big bold watch and everytime I walk out the door wearing it I get so many compliments. It is only $36 and I think I may have to go back for the white and gold once it is back in stock.

My last favortie watch is the IsaacMizrahiLive! Color Link Bold Bracelet Watch with 3 bezels I got this watch a month or so ago as a Todays Special Value in the black. I am so in love with it I went back and ordered the turquise. It is such a comfortable watch and looks so high end. I have not changed the bezels because I love the diamonds, but love that I have the option to make it more casual with the other bezels.

My Bare Heaven

It is my favorite time of the day 12am...anyone that follows QVC knows why. It means a new Todays Special Value!! WOO HOO I think the only way to describe it is like hitting the sale racks at a great store and hoping for a great find.

Well today we are all lucky enough to have my personal fave item on QVC Bare Escentuals as the TSV...and let me just say they did not dispoint. It is a great 9 piece collection for $50 and it comes with foundation. They had me sold before even talking about it. After all I already spend $30 on the foundation so why not pay a few bucks more and get all the goods.
Now for the wait...it is like waiting for Christmas morning as a child except instead of Santa Claus he is a the UPS guy dressed in brown.
Well sweat dreams all, I will be dreaming for my new makeup to arrive.
